AI data center construction accelerated, network equipment and high-speed interconnection demand inc
The construction of AI data centers is extending from "computing chip competition" to "network connectivity competition". Cisco recently said it raised its full-year revenue forecast driven by AI-related demand and expects AI-related orders to reach $9 billion this year. The company provides data center switches, routers and network hardware that are important components of AI infrastructure.
AI model training and reasoning require a large number of servers to work together, which puts higher requirements on network equipment with low latency, high bandwidth and high stability. As a result, the demand for switching chips, optical modules, connectors, high-speed cables, power modules, and thermal components continues to rise. For AI data centers, network performance often directly affects overall compute utilization.
From the perspective of component procurement, future customer demand for high-speed communication products may further increase, including optical transceiver modules, SerDes chips, high-speed connectors, crystal oscillators, clock chips and power management ICs. If electronic component suppliers can provide complete supporting solutions around data center applications, it will be easier to cover the AI infrastructure customer base.
